Another quite unexpected convergence (well to me anyway!), is that of the credit card and mobile phone. In Japan, commuters are already using their mobiles to pay for train tickets and now it looks like McDonalds is going to get in on the act. In England a special mobile phone scanner is being fitted in Marylebone train station - so that there will be even less hassle for commuters - supposedly........
